The fish tank

The Berry Biology fish tank was a generous gift from former Provost Dr. Mary Boyd and John Quinn. It’s a 75 gallon freshwater tropical community aquarium.

This page was created by students in Honors Biological Diversity. If you’re curious about who lives in the Berry Biology fish tank and what they need to thrive, you’ve come to the right place!

Feel free to take a test strip and assess our water quality. Here’s how to interpret the results. Click the link above to learn how to interpret the results.

We’d love to hear from you! Here are a few questions we’re especially interested in.

How many fish are in the tank right now? Report the species and counts!

The guppies multiply quickly! How many male guppies do you see? How many females? How many juveniles?

Did you use a water quality test strip? Report the results!

What new species would you like to see in this tank?
