Thinking critically like a scientist enables us to make decisions based on evidence and to feel confident in our choices. It also allows us to identify scientifically sound practices for keeping our world as healthy as possible. For these reasons, spreading science to everyone is the main goal of my outreach endeavors. A few of my favorites have been presenting my dissertation research at my hometown library, judging science fairs, and being interviewed on podcasts. I also interact closely with local communities and volunteers who make the work of the American Chestnut Foundation possible. You can find a full list of my outreach activities in my CV.
